With a history of excellence that spans five generations, Columbus globes have been handcrafted with precision for over a century in Germany. The globes with our unique designs are no exception: our maps are printed in an astonishingly high resolution of 1400 DPI on special paper that impresses with brilliant colours combined with the highest level of detail. The printed maps are then cut into 12 segments and hand-applied on the durable acrylic sphere by trained artisans. For a finishing touch they apply a clear coat of high gloss, lending the globe its radiant sheen. The base and the meridian get their dimly glimmering shine from a very special satin stainless steel finish. This masterful craftsmanship gives your globe a minimalist, yet elegant appearance that helps it fit in most interiors.
