A finely textured artist-grade cotton substrate which consistently reproduces image details with outstanding clarity and detail. This 400gsm canvas material and the used printing method both work perfectly with our colourful maps and photos.
The canvas print is stretched on a custom wooden frame from European knotless pine and hand finished by an experienced framing team, who ensure each corner fold is perfectly smooth and tight. Each canvas frame is milled with a curved profile; minimising contact with the face of the canvas; preventing unsightly impression marks and surface cracking. Finger jointed canvas frames are used to create corner tension which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, wooden ‘wedges’ strengthen each corner; ensuring the canvas surface remains taut and allowing for easy re-stretching in future years.
